Tracey Yvonne (Smith) Posey was born and reared
in Springfield, Ohio. She is a graduate of Oberlin College and continued her postgraduate
studies at The Ohio State University. In 2008, she received her Master’s Degree in
Management from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University. While at Oberlin, she was baptized
in Jesus’ name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost under the pastorate of District
Elder Laurence Nevels.
Sister Tracey came to Living Faith Apostolic Church upon the recommendation of Suffragan
Bishop Raymond Lloyd. There, the Lord began to reveal His will for her life.
In 1984, she became the wife of (then) Elder Edgar Posey. Although uncertain of her
“new life,” Sister Posey was eager as she was assured by God, “This is what I have
prepared you for all of your life.”
As first lady, Sister Posey is very active in
the ministry of Living Faith. She is a Sunday School teacher, co-director of the Youth
Choir, and a gifted musician and director of the Living Faith Mass Choir.
Outside of her local church responsibilities, Sister Posey serves as Chair of the
Board of the FCI, Too! Childcare Center, as Recording Secretary of MiraCit Development
Corporation, and as the President of the Board of the FCI Academy, a community school
serving grades K-12. She is also the Vice President of the Ohio District Council Ministers’
Wives and Ministers’ Widows Alliance, and previously served on the Church Extension
Board of the Ohio District Council of Pentecostal Churches, Inc.
Along with His other opportunities for service, the Lord has blessed Sister Posey
to see the elevation of her husband to the bishopric of the 59th Episcopal District
of Venezuela, giving her new responsibilities and opportunities for growth.
Sister Posey is the proud mother of sons, Ian and Joshua, and daughter, Erin.
